# Page Analytics [#page-analytics]

Page analytics helps you compare how visitors move through your site. The tracker normalizes page paths so equivalent URLs can be compared consistently.

## Metrics [#metrics]

| Metric         | Meaning                                                                            |
| :------------- | :--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Page views     | Recorded visits to a page path.                                                    |
| Sessions       | Activity grouped into an anonymous browser session.                                |
| Referrer       | The source page or channel that referred the visit, when available.                |
| Time on page   | The elapsed time reported between page activity events.                            |
| Clicks         | Supported interactive-element interactions recorded on the page.                   |
| Custom events  | Business actions you send explicitly to the tracker.                               |
| Performance    | Browser-side performance metrics, when enabled.                                    |
| Errors         | Browser-side error events                                                          |
| Funnels        | Conversion rate of a series of steps you define in the dashboard.                  |
| Public sharing | Shareable link to the page analytics view. ( Available password protected option ) |
| Bounce rate    | The percentage of visitors who leave the site after viewing only one page.         |

Use the same date range when comparing pages. A page with more views is not necessarily more effective; compare its clicks, custom events, and time-on-page with its traffic volume.see [Overview](/docs/analytics/overview) for more information on the available metrics.

## Single-page applications [#single-page-applications]

Initialize the SDK once at application startup. Ucoder Insight listens for supported history changes so route changes in a single-page application can be recorded without a full page reload.
